The advantages of a Rise server
A solution with no hidden costs
Our Rise dedicated servers come with a number of services included by default for professional use: 500Mbit/s public bandwidth with unlimited data volume, anti-DDoS protection, and 24/7 technical support at no extra cost.
Simplified management
Choose from more than 30 pre-installed operating systems via the OVHcloud Control Panel. In just a few clicks, your server is set up with your choice of operating system or distribution.
Backup storage space
Rise servers include 500GB external storage space, which is designed to store backups of your data and configuration files. This backup space is secure, free, and can be shared between your servers.
Features
IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
Each server has a public IPv4 address and an IPv6 address range (/64).
Anti-DDoS protection
To guarantee maximum security, an anti-DDoS protection system is included with your dedicated server.
500GB storage space
Each dedicated server has an included 500GB storage space, independent from the server, to store your data.
Load Balancer (optional)
The Load Balancer distributes the traffic load on the IP addresses for your services hosted in our datacentres. This option is required if you want to distribute your traffic across several servers.
Additional IP (optional)
Additional IPs (IPv4) can be transferred between OVHcloud servers (as a failover feature). It is useful to keep them for purposes such as:
- machine migration or change
- acting as a failover for traffic in the event of a service failure
- switching projects from development to production environments
These IP addresses can also be geolocated in 14 countries.
500Mbit/s public bandwidth and unlimited traffic
Your Rise dedicated server has 500Mbit/s bandwidth by default. Ingress and egress traffic is unlimited and free (with the exception of our datacentres located in the Asia-Pacific region).
99.90% SLA (Service Level Agreement)
Rise servers have a 99.90% SLA for your business applications.
Technical support
By renting a Rise server, you get technical support by ticket and telephone. We also offer guides and an online Help Centre to assist you in setting up and managing your services.
IPMI and KVM on IP
The IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) console can be accessed via the OVHcloud Control Panel or API, and provides you with a direct connection to your dedicated server. If your server becomes unavailable, you can keep control of it via its public IP address.
Additional backup space (optional)
Each dedicated server has an external backup space, which you can use to store your data and configuration files. This space can be expanded to store larger volumes.
Operating systems and distributions available to pre-install
You can install several operating systems and distributions (OS) automatically via the OVHcloud Control Panel.

Your questions answered
What do the setup fees include?
The setup fees cover the cost of assembling and connecting your server in our datacentres. These up-front fees are only billed once, when the service is set up. This means they are not linked to your commitment period.
When can I order the options offered?
You can order all of the options (additional IP addresses, failover IPs, Load Balancer, additional storage space) and activate them directly from the OVHcloud Control Panel after your server has been delivered.
How do I contact technical support?
You can contact technical support via phone, or by raising a support ticket if you have a Rise server.
